G-Shock G-STEEL Tough Leather Band: Street Vintage Style

Casio America announced a new series of solar-powered G-STEEL watches featuring the first leather-style band for G-Shock. The G-Shock G-STEEL Street Vintage Style Collection features a Tough Leather band which is a hybrid of synthetic leather and resin. It is designed and tested to be more abrasion-resistant than a traditional leather band and is also water-resistant. The Tough Leather band offers a classy, vintage look without sacrificing G-Shock’s legendary durability. The Street Vintage Style Collection also includes a new black IP model with a stainless steel band and is due for a March 2017 release in the U.S.A.

The G-STEEL GST-S120 and GST-S130 series feature a stainless steel body, Tough Solar power, and a dual-layer bezel with an inner resin layer for increased impact resistance. Other features include shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, world time, 5 daily alarms, 1/100 second stopwatch, countdown timer, 12/24 hour format, full auto double LED light, and Neo-brite luminous hands and markers.

Update: G-Shock Japan announced the GST-W120L-1AJF, GST-W120L-1BJF, GST-W130BD-1AJF, and GST-W130L-1AJF for a February 2017 release. These import-only models have Multi-Band 6 radio-sync timekeeping in addition to Tough Solar power.

The GSTS120L-1A has a black Tough Leather band, a gold IP body, and a black resin outer bezel. List price is $300.

The GSTS120L-1B has a light brown Tough Leather band, a black IP body, and a black resin outer bezel. List price is $300.

The GSTS130L-1A has a dark brown Tough Leather band, a silver body, and a silver stainless steel outer bezel. List price is $300.

The GSTS130BD-1A has a black IP stainless steel band and a black IP stainless steel outer bezel. List price is $450.
